I have a really soft spot for this wonderful community choir.

They have been kind enough to sing for two events at Dewsbury Station to celebrate their 175th anniversary.

In addition I’ve seen them in action at the Thornhill Lees Dementia Group where they had everyone singing along.

They are a lovely group of people who always look like they are enjoying themselves and it’s infectious.

Dewsbury Community Choir attended one of our groups which we run for people living with dementia. The choir was a joy to watch and every one of our members had such an amazing time. The choir provided us all with lyrics so each one of our members could be involved and we all had a lovely sing-along.

Our group was fortunate to witness a beautiful moment between mother and son when the choir were singing, and they danced together – there wasn't a dry eye in the room.

I highly recommend the Dewsbury Community Choir and want to thank them all for being such a delight, blessing us with their beautiful voices and giving our customers an amazing experience.

I have met some of my dearest friends at Dewsbury Community Choir.

What a fantastic decision I made to join our choir. It is the highlight of my Thursdays and everyone is so friendly and funny. We sing some amazing songs. All new members are made to feel so welcome and we also have social evenings and events but there is no pressure to take part, it is entirely up to you.

I feel that i have an extended family with my choir friends, they always give support when needed.I always leave rehearsals feeling great.

I was made to feel included and welcome from my first visit. Lovely group of supportive people who like to sing and laugh together.

The RVS Thornhill Lees Dementia Support Group and I attended a Thursday evening performance for McMillan Cancer Support.

Everyone was blown away, the sets were put together so well. The acapella piece was exceptional and the harmonies were amazing.

A wonderful evening in very good company, we all had fun and ate very well.
